Abstract Over the years, Shijiazhuang City has developed a robust industrial foundation, with six core industrial parks, 16 county-level industrial clusters, and 39 specialized industrial zones taking shape. These clusters have become key drivers of regional economic growth. In line with the principles of clustering, intensification, and sustainable development, each district and county is focusing on strengthening its industrial ecosystems. This includes promoting the upgrading of existing clusters, emphasizing the development of distinctive industries, and accelerating the growth of high-tech sectors. As a result, several advanced achievements at both national and international levels have been realized. The city has now established six leading industries—biomedicine, electronic information, chemical industry, equipment manufacturing, modern services, and textile and apparel—alongside 39 well-developed industrial clusters. Additionally, multiple industry R&D centers have been set up to support innovation and technological advancement.
Shijiazhuang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, as one of the first national-level high-tech zones in China, has played a crucial role in driving the city’s industrial transformation. After two decades of rapid growth, the zone has developed four major industries: biotechnology and modern medicine, electronic information, advanced equipment manufacturing, and new materials. It has become a key player in several global sectors, such as bio-pharmaceuticals, power communication, liquid crystal display materials, high-speed tool steel, and diamond tools. Notably, a number of renowned high-tech enterprises with strong R&D capabilities and international reputations have emerged within the zone.
Located in the heart of the high-tech zone, the Tianshan World Gate project is designed to integrate multiple industrial functions into a single, dynamic hub. This ambitious development aims to serve as a new engine for Shijiazhuang’s industrial economy, fostering innovation, attracting investment, and supporting long-term sustainable growth. With its strategic location and comprehensive planning, the project is expected to significantly enhance the city's industrial competitiveness and global footprint.
Through continuous efforts in industrial optimization and technological innovation, Shijiazhuang is steadily positioning itself as a major industrial and high-tech hub in northern China, ready to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future.
