It's always a stressful situation when paint accidentally gets on your clothes. Fortunately, there are several simple tricks that can help you remove paint stains easily and effectively. Whether it's from a brush, a spray, or a spill, the right approach can save your favorite outfit.

Paint stains can be tough, especially if they're on delicate fabrics like cotton or nylon. However, with the right technique, you can restore your clothes to their original condition without too much effort. The key is to act quickly and use the correct cleaning agents for different types of paint.

If you find paint on your clothing, start by applying a small amount of cooling oil to both sides of the stain. The oil helps break down the paint, making it easier to wipe away. Use a cotton ball and gently rub the area every few minutes until the paint begins to lift. Afterward, rinse the fabric thoroughly with water. For water-soluble paints such as latex or wall paint, washing it off immediately with water is usually sufficient. If the paint is on nylon, try rubbing it with lard first, then wash with detergent and rinse with water.

If the paint hasn't dried yet, you can try rubbing it with gasoline first, followed by a little diluted acetic acid (or vinegar if you don’t have acetic acid). Then rinse with water. For dried paint stains, a more intensive method works well: mix 2.5 kg of water, 100 g of alkaline noodles, and a bit of lime in a pot, add the stained clothes, and let them cook for 20 minutes. Afterward, wash them with soap, and the paint should come off easily. Keep in mind that this method may cause color fading, so it’s best avoided on colored fabrics.

Tip: If you accidentally get paint on your clothes, using gasoline or banana water (ethyl acetate) can help remove it, but be cautious as these substances might affect the fabric’s texture over time. Always test any cleaning method on a small, hidden area first to avoid damage.
