First, it's important to check the clearance. This step ensures that the bearing fits correctly within its housing and can accommodate the expected load and speed. Next, you should sort the outer raceway based on scale error and visually inspect it for any damage or imperfections.
Then, examine the internal scale error and perform a visual inspection of the inner ring. It's also important to check the rollers, cage, and inner or outer rings for any signs of wear or damage. Once all parts are inspected, the cage is either riveted, crimped, or pressed into place to secure the assembly.
Afterward, the inner ring assembly is placed inside the outer ring or secured within the housing. A thorough visual inspection is conducted to ensure everything is properly aligned and there are no defects. Following this, demagnetization, cleaning, and drying processes are carried out to remove any residual magnetic fields or moisture that could affect performance.
Next, the bearing is lubricated with the appropriate type of oil or grease, and then carefully packaged. It's important not to leave the packaging intact during storage or transportation unless specified. The components should be separated from the packaging when ready for use.
In a well-organized manufacturing process, the key steps include selecting the raceway size, adjusting the radial clearance, and pressing the cage. Other steps are considered auxiliary but still play an important role in ensuring quality and efficiency.
Each factory may have slight variations in their installation procedures, but the main goal is always to maintain quality while making the process as convenient as possible.
