China's economy may achieve its target growth target at the beginning of this year

Abstract According to the latest data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics, China’s third-quarter GDP grew by 7.8% year-on-year, marking the highest growth rate in the past three quarters. This represents a 2.2% increase from the previous quarter, and the cumulative growth for the first three quarters reached 7.7%. Analysts from the industry believe that this consistent performance in the fourth quarter of the previous year suggests that the growth target set at the beginning of 2013 is likely to be met.

Looking back at the first three quarters, the Chinese economy has shown a pattern of "stability with growth, steady progress, and positive momentum." The first quarter saw a 7.7% growth, followed by 7.5% in the second quarter, and 7.8% in the third. The quarterly fluctuations have been minimal, showing no significant volatility. More importantly, under the clear macroeconomic policies guided by the central government, public expectations have remained stable, and corporate confidence has risen. The PMI has continued to rise for three consecutive months, indicating a healthy economic environment.

From an industrial perspective, emerging sectors are growing at a much faster pace than traditional industries. Particularly in modern service sectors such as e-commerce and online retail, growth has been remarkable. In the first three quarters, the tertiary industry grew 0.6 percentage points faster than the secondary industry, and its share of GDP increased by 0.2% compared to the first half of the year. This shift highlights the ongoing structural transformation of the Chinese economy toward higher value-added sectors.
