On April 11, the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a notice titled "The Target Task of Releasing 19 Outdated Production Capacities in the Industrial Sector." Among the five key non-ferrous metal industries, the targets include eliminating 66.5 million tons of copper smelting capacity, 273,000 tons of electrolytic aluminum, 879,000 tons of lead smelting, 143,000 tons of zinc smelting, and 1.96 million tons of copper-aluminum-lead-zinc production. Additionally, 1,420 kVA of lead-battery plate production and 10.67 million kVA of assembled capacity will also be phased out.
