China FAW Group Corporation, commonly known as "China FAW" or simply "FAW," is a state-owned, large-scale automobile manufacturer in China. Based in Changchun, Jilin Province, the company was originally established as the country's first automobile manufacturing plant. Chairman Mao Zedong personally inscribed the factory's name. The company operates across several key business segments, including R&D, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, auto parts, and related industries. With over 120,000 employees and total assets amounting to 213.65 billion yuan, FAW has become one of the most influential players in the Chinese automotive sector.
