For seed dressing, mix 0.15–0.25 kg of 50% carbendazim wettable powder with 2.5–5 kg of fine dry soil per 50 kg of seeds. After thoroughly mixing the powder with the soil, the peanut seeds should be washed with water first. Then, they are layered and mixed with the treated soil to ensure even coverage. Once the seeds are coated, they can be sown immediately.
Alternatively, you can use a sprayer to apply the solution. Mix 0.15–0.25 kg of 50% carbendazim WP with 2 kg of water, then spray the solution onto the peanut seeds until each seed is evenly coated. Allow the seeds to dry completely before planting.
Another method involves soaking the seeds. For this, mix 0.15–0.25 kg of 50% carbendazim WP with 30 kg of clean water for every 50 kg of seeds. Soak the seeds for 24 hours, and during this time, turn them 2–3 times to ensure even absorption. After soaking, the seeds can be planted directly.
This treatment has proven highly effective in controlling diseases such as stem rot, blight, and root rot, with control efficacy reaching over 90%.
