The low competitiveness of enterprises and products has seriously affected the improvement of the economic strength of enterprises, in particular, it is not conducive to environmental protection and technological upgrading.

2, excess capacity. The production of corundum is particularly prominent. Overcapacity and homogenization of low-end products will become increasingly unacceptable to the market. 3, new product research and development capabilities are weak. At present, China has become a major producer of abrasives, but it is not yet a powerful nation. Abrasive products in China are mainly concentrated in the low-end market, and have low technological content. Compared with the international advanced level, there are still large gaps. The lack of domestic high-end technology products mainly depends on imports. The gap between high-end product performance and foreign product ratio is large, and it can only meet 30% of the demand for several pillar industries of automobiles, aerospace, machine tools, bearings, locomotives, and ships; the majority of product exports maintain the traditional middle and low grade, and the average export price. 4. The industry has a long way to go for energy saving and emission reduction. Abrasives as a relatively special industry, there are problems in energy-saving emission reduction abrasive smelting. At present, there is overcapacity in the domestic brown corundum situation. The next step in the national policy will be to eliminate the backward production capacity of the corundum industry, shut down some high energy-consuming medium and small corundum production enterprises, eliminate low-power smelting furnaces, and encourage advantageous companies to become stronger.
