240t/d solid heat carrier pulverized coal low temperature pyrolysis pilot plant achieves stable operation at full load

Recently, researchers from the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have been debugging for several days. The solid-state heat carrier coal low-temperature pyrolysis pilot plant of 240 tons/day achieves stable operation at full load. This is the first time that a domestically produced 100,000-ton/year-scale circulating stream has been achieved. The full-load operation of the pulverized coal pyrolysis unit of the chemical bed is another important advancement of the strategic pilot technology project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences “Key Technologies and Demonstration of Clean Coal and High-efficiency Cascade Utilization of Low-rank Coal”.

240 tons/day solid thermal carrier coal low-temperature pyrolysis pilot plant successfully controlled the energy and material exchange of the solid heat carrier combustion bed and pyrolysis bed through the original solid material heating, material circulation control, pyrolysis furnace coke discharge and other means. Achieve the organic coupling of the double bed. The stable material level of the pyrolysis furnace blocks the high-temperature gas counter-reaction, which reduces the dust in the pyrolysis furnace and the dust content of the oil product.

240t/day solid thermal carrier coal low-temperature pyrolysis pilot plant was completed in May 2014. The pilot plant was completed at the end of September. Joint commissioning took place from October to November. The load reached 120 tons/day. The process flow under partial load resulted in semi-coke, tar, and pyrolysis gas products. In 2015, the researchers focused on the problems exposed in the previous period, and after two perfect rectifications, the key equipment and some systems were successively debugged and reconstructed. From October to November, the joint commissioning was again carried out, finally achieving stable operation at full load. During the full-load commissioning operation, the key technical parameters and operating parameters of the solid heat carrier pulverized coal pyrolysis process were determined, and the product data under full load was obtained. The performance test of the pilot plant was completed and the full-load continuous stable operation was completed. The goal of the hour laid a solid foundation.
