Rice should be added with silicon fertilizer

In the optimized formula fertilization of rice, people often attach great importance to the combination of large element fertilizers such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, while ignoring the application of silicon fertilizer. In fact, silicon has a great influence on the growth and development of rice.
Although silicon is not a nutrient for all crops, it has a significant effect on cereal crops, especially rice. Rice is a crop that absorbs more silicon. Generally, stem and leaf contain 10%-20% of silicon nitride. The content of silicic acid in rice is about 10 times that of nitrogen and about 20 times that of phosphorus. The lack of silicon in rice can easily lead to slender and weak stems, easy to fall, and easy to infect diseases. The lack of silicon in the early stage reduces the number of panicles in rice, and the number of spikelets in the late silicon is reduced. The high quality and high yield of rice are not guaranteed. Rational application of silicon fertilizer to rice can increase yield by increasing kernel weight and early maturity. Especially in the newly changed paddy fields and acidic soils, the effect of applying silicon fertilizer to rice is more obvious, and the yield increase is correspondingly increased. The effect of silicon on rice is mainly reflected in the following aspects: (1) It can form a silica gel layer on the leaves, sheaths, stems, roots and epidermis of rice, thereby increasing the toughness of rice epidermal cells, invading the pathogens and enhancing the disease resistance of rice. 2 can regulate the water consumption of rice plants, and the strength of leaf transpiration can be significantly weakened when sufficient silicic acid. 3 It can improve the rice plant type and fully absorb the silicon rice, which has a good light receiving posture and is beneficial to improve the photosynthetic efficiency. 4 can promote the absorption of phosphorus by rice, reduce the adsorption and fixation of phosphorus, increase the availability of phosphorus, and improve the nutritional status of phosphorus in rice. 5 can reduce the excessive application of iron and manganese in the soil to the application of silicon fertilizer to the rice roots, and use the silicate containing calcium and magnesium as the silicon fertilizer, and mix it with other fertilizers when applying the base fertilizer, the application amount per acre is 1 kilogram of effective silicon, or calcium-calcium fertilizer (slag produced by soda ash industry) 80-130 kg.
