The overall quality has improved significantly. Since 2002, China has become the world's largest market for machine tool consumption for five consecutive years. In 2005 and 2006, China's machine tool output ranked third in the world and has become a world machine tool power.
From January to October 2007, the total output value of China's machine tool industry increased by 26.2% year-on-year, and the profit increased by 37% year-on-year. The industry's prosperity continued to maintain a high level. Under the great environment of revitalizing the equipment manufacturing industry and encouraging independent innovation, the scientific research results of the machine tool industry are endless, new product development achievements are remarkable, and high-performance CNC machine tools such as five-axis linkage CNC machine tools and multi-functional composite machine tools are beginning to take shape. The numerical control rate has been increasing year by year, the localization rate has continued to increase, and import substitution has been obvious. Some machine tool advantage enterprises through mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, especially the acquisition of foreign-funded enterprises, continue to improve the technical level of domestic enterprises, and strive to "bigger and stronger." At the same time, with the rapid development of China's automobile, shipbuilding, engineering machinery, aerospace and other industries, the machine tool industry has provided huge demand, and the long-term development of China's machine tool industry is optimistic. It is expected that domestic machine tool consumption will maintain a rapid growth of more than 15%, while CNC machine tools will maintain a growth rate of around 30%. CNC machine tools will exceed the development speed of ordinary metal cutting machine tools by more than 20% per year, and the development prospects of CNC machine tools are broad.
