Celery root knot nematodes must be strictly guarded
Root knot nematode disease is the main disease of celery, which occurs only in the local area. Once it occurs, the infection rate is extremely high, and the light yield is reduced, and the weight is all rejected.
Under normal circumstances, root-knot nematode disease occurs only in the roots, mainly invading the main roots in the seedling stage, and infesting the young lateral roots and fine roots in the adult and semi-arid stages. When the root is damaged, the tumor-like root knot is formed, which is mainly characterized by poor growth and short stature, and the plant is wilting when the air is dry.
Generally take the following control measures:
1. Thoroughly clean the countryside.
2. Rotate and change the disease, and carry out rotation with resistant vegetables such as onions, garlic, leeks and peppers to reduce the number of nematodes in the soil.
3. The seedlings are cultivated in the land, and the seedlings that have not been root-knotted are selected to prevent the root-knot nematode from spreading through the soil.
4. The soil in the shed is highly sterilized, and the root-knot nematode likes warm and dry environment. When the soil temperature is below 10 °C, the larva stops moving. At 55 °C, it can die after 10 minutes. In the midsummer, deep soil, digging trenches and ridges, conditional lime can be applied to the soil, cover the membrane after irrigation, seal the greenhouse for 10 to 15 days, use the summer glare to effectively kill the root-knot nematode. In the northern winter, the topsoil can be exchanged for soil, and a large number of eggs can be frozen in the winter.
5. Drug treatment, using 15% Avi-Imidacloprid microcapsule suspension agent, or using 10% thiazolyl granules for soil application.
