A company called Oledcomm announced that ultra-fast wireless data transmission technology, known as "Li-Fi," will officially enter the market one year later.

The so-called Li-Fi, short for "Light Fidelity," was developed by the German physicist Harald Haas and became a topic in the 2011 TED talk. In simple terms, Li-Fi technology forms a unique binary code by changing the frequency of the lighting of the room lighting. As long as computers equipped with special sensors, smart phones, and other devices are exposed to such light, they can receive network signals.

In the introduction, it is only necessary to add a microchip to any of the obscure LED bulbs to control the blinking of millions of times per second, so that the light can be brought into the network. Because the blinking frequency of the LED light is too high, the human eye is completely undetectable. In this respect, this technology is more secure than traditional Wi-Fi.

Oledcomm claims that they already have Li-Fi technology and have achieved 3Gbps connection speed. With the continuous deepening of Haas research, its transmission speed is expected to reach 10Gbps. Due to its superiority, Li-Fi may eventually replace Wi-Fi.
