Introduction to the structure of the double-edged forming tool

The two YG6 cemented carbide inserts of the double-edged CNC forming tool are brazed and welded in two symmetrical grooves of the cutter head body, and the cutter head body and the seat are connected by three screws uniformly distributed around the circumference. The holder is positioned by a flat key and a central boss fixed to the holder by screws and fastened to the holder with fastening bolts. In this way, the new tool can be replaced simply by replacing the tool body. When re-sharpening the blade, the cutter head body and the tool holder can be removed and mounted on a special tool holder to be ground on the tool grinding machine. The polished edge is coated with natural oil and oil. The width is about 50.1 mm.

When the spindle speed is 1400r/min and the maximum cutting speed of the workpiece (that is, the cutting speed on the circumference of <78mm diameter) is 342.89m/min, all the indexes are ideal. When the spindle speed exceeds 1600r/min, the taper machining quality begins to decrease and the tool durability decreases. Therefore, the cutting speed is preferably 1400r/min.

Since the amount of feed directly affects productivity, the maximum value should be taken as much as possible while meeting the quality requirements. When the feed rate is 20mm/min, the surface quality and tool durability are significantly reduced, and increasing the amount of cutting causes the cutting force to increase, which affects the working life of the machining center transmission components. Therefore, the feed amount is preferably 15 mm/min.
