Before the end of June next year, the aluminum material company in Foshan completes the clean energy transformation.

At the on-site conference on air pollution deepening in the aluminum industry in 2016, Foshan City announced that in the next two years, Foshan will launch a new round of atmospheric pollution deepening treatment in the aluminum industry, and 157 aluminum profile companies in the city will be included in the scope of renovation. According to requirements, by the end of June next year, all aluminum companies should complete clean energy transformation.

During the period of renovation, Foshan will strengthen law enforcement, guard against excessive emission of enterprises, strengthen the control of total discharge of pollutants, and at the same time supervise the transformation of enterprises, speed up the construction of natural gas pipeline networks, and win the battle of atmospheric governance.

Aluminum profile industry is one of the traditional advantageous industries in Foshan, and it is also one of the important industries for pollutant discharge. Since 2014, Foshan City has started to rectify atmospheric pollution in the aluminum industry. At the end of last year, Foshan City determined that the number of companies to be rectified this year and next year was 157. In April this year, Foshan City formulated a working plan for the deepening of air pollution in the aluminum industry. The rectification includes strengthening the total discharge control of pollutants, strengthening the clean energy transformation of existing facilities, enhancing dust collection in the ash handling process, and improving surface treatment. The molding process includes six items such as acid mist and alkali mist exhaust gas collection and treatment.

According to the requirements of the plan, 80% of the aluminum profile enterprises within the city before the completion of the clean energy reform will be completed by October 31, 2016. All aluminum profile enterprises within the city will complete the clean energy transformation by June 30, 2017.

Of the 157 remediation enterprises, 94 in the Nanhai District, accounting for 60% of the mission. According to Foshan Nanhai Gas Development Co., Ltd., there are 28 companies that have used natural gas in the 94 enterprises and 22 companies that do not use natural gas, but the pipe network has been covered. There will be 20 new pipe networks planned for the next two years, and 24 others. The company is not in the pipe network coverage plan.

Zhao Hai, deputy mayor of Foshan City, stated that deepening the prevention and control of atmospheric pollution in the aluminium profile industry is an important measure for the improvement of the atmospheric environment in Foshan. This battle must be won. The task of the South China Sea is heavy and difficult. Therefore, this battle is to be tackled firmly in the South China Sea. It is necessary to highlight the key points and pay close attention to implementation.

“We will decompose the 94 corporate missions, implement responsibilities to people, and establish a work account, break one by one, complete one, and sell one.” Yang Huanxin, member of the Standing Committee of the Nanhai District Committee and Deputy District Governor, said that gas will be required in the next phase. The company adjusted its pipeline network construction plan, made preferential policies for aluminum extrusion companies, and increased the enthusiasm of enterprises to switch to natural gas.
