It is understood that the demand for recycled plastics and biodegradable plastics in Europe will increase as a result of the EU's new directive on reducing shopping bags. At present, packaging is the main application area of bioplastics . In addition, applications in the textile and automotive sectors are growing at a very fast rate. From functional sportswear with good breathability to automotive fuel hoses, bioplastics continue to expand into new markets and develop applications. Global bioplastics capacity will increase year by year based on approximately 1.6 million tons in 2013. Bio-based plastics (including and non-biodegradable products such as bio-based PET) are making great progress. As a major production center for bioplastics, Asia’s status will be more valued by countries around the world.
