Common terminology for electric light source

1. Luminous flux. It is the light energy that the light source can feel in the eyes of all sides of the space. The unit is lumens (lm). It is an important indicator of the ability of an electric light source to generate light energy.

2. Lumens. The unit of measurement of luminous flux, equal to the uniform luminous point of a candle, is the most luminous light emitted in a unit of solid angle.

3. Luminous efficiency. It is the ratio of the luminous flux output by the illumination source to the input electrical power, that is, the luminous flux per unit of power. Unit lumens per watt (lm/W). It is an important indicator reflecting the performance of the light source.

Electric light source head 4. Color temperature. When the color of the light emitted by the light source is the same as the color of the black body at a certain temperature, the temperature of the black body is called the color temperature of the light source, which is referred to as the color temperature. Take the absolute temperature K as the unit.

5. Color rendering index. When the light source has the same color transmission performance as the reference light source (standard white light), the light source has a color rendering index of 100. It is a parameter that measures the ability of a light source to reproduce standard white light.

6. Rated voltage. The voltage required by the electric light source during normal operation, that is, the specified operating voltage. The unit is volt (V).

7. Rated power. The input power of the electric light source when the rated voltage is used. The unit is watt (W).

8. The service life electric light source can not be illuminated from the beginning to use or can not be used but can not be used (such as the severe arcing of the xenon lamp) or its luminous flux output is reduced to a specified level (such as the projection of the indium lamp, its light output can not make the screen reproduce well) The number of hours experienced. This parameter is not for a certain bulb, but the average of the life of the product.

9. When the lamp-pressure gas discharge lamp is working normally, the voltage across the lamp electrode is lowered. The unit is volt (V).

10. Trigger Voltage The electric light source cannot start its own operation at the rated voltage, but requires an applied voltage to start ignition. This applied voltage is called the trigger voltage. The unit is volt (V). The trigger voltage is also called the breakdown voltage in some cases.
